Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy, is the main international airport of Paris and the largest in France. Located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Paris, it is one of the world’s most significant aviation hubs. Named after Charles de Gaulle, the leader of Free France during World War II and a former French president, CDG is a major hub for Air France and serves as a key transit point for numerous international airlines. The airport features three main terminals, offering a wide range of services to passengers, from luxury boutiques to gourmet dining.

Orly Airport is the second busiest airport in Paris in terms of passenger traffic, situated about 13 kilometers south of the French capital. Historically, it was Paris’s primary airport before the opening of Charles de Gaulle. Today, Orly primarily handles domestic and European flights, along with some long-haul destinations. The airport is divided into two main terminals, Orly 1-2-3 (formerly Orly West) and Orly 4 (formerly Orly South), providing a variety of services and amenities for travelers. It is also an important hub for low-cost carriers such as Transavia France.

Beauvais-Tillé Airport, commonly referred to simply as Beauvais Airport, is located approximately 85 kilometers north of Paris. Although smaller than Charles de Gaulle and Orly, it plays a crucial role as a base for low-cost airlines, particularly Ryanair. The airport primarily serves European and Mediterranean destinations. It is popular for its affordable flights, despite being somewhat distant from the center of Paris. Regular shuttle services connect the airport to the capital, making it accessible for passengers.
